BYU vs UNR

Hey guys
I went to a BYU game yesterday. It was so fun. BYU won 28 to 23. This was my first football game ever, let alone my first college game. Go Cougars! Thank you for everything, for all your prayers my way.

10/22/13 Update

Hi All,
I know it has not been long since my last update but i just wanted to let you guys know that my mom's CA-125 count went down to 20 from somewhere around 180! Big jump it was awesome! The normal range is 35 so, all is going well it is just one more thing off of our plates.

We went to a pumpkin patch with our cousins and i got a 16 pound pumpkin! My aunt said that we could get any pumpkin that we could carry. I did not exactly carry it, but i held it so that they could cut it from the vine. I guess that was good enough. Later that day we went back and my sister got a 51 pound pumpkin. Guess what she carried it to check out. she is so strong! I will have to upload a picture of it so that you guys can see it.

I am doing well. No further complications have taken place. I go back to see the doctor at Shriners in November for my final post operation check up appointment. This does not mean that i am done going down to Shriners forever, but just for post operation check ups. All in all, i am very pleased with how my surgery turned out even though i am not done improving yet. There is still more to come as far as accomplishment and goals, so don't worry i will still be posting.

Thank you for all of your thoughts and prayers on not only my behalf, but on behalf of my family. We have really seen the blessings that prayer can bring to people's lives.

10/8/13 Update

Hi Guys,
So glad to be able to update today. Everything is going well. I think i posted in my last post that i have been reduced to physical therapy twice a month. It's great my therapist says that i have not lost any of my range of motion despite not having therapy as often.

In other news, a month ago or so my mom got her CA 125 numbers back and they went down a good amount. That means that we are going to keep going with the radiation. She has a pet scan scheduled in November to see if the tumor has shrunk, so we will see. For now though everything is just peachy.

My dad just got back from Canada on a hunting and fishing trip. He works so hard so it was good that he got a good break. He said it was the most relaxing vacation he has had in a while.

I am also excited to write that i have transfered schools and now i am home schooled. We decided to do this because i had so much homework and i was staying until close to midnight every night. Long story short it was hard to get up for seminary every morning at 5:30.

I am so great for the prayers. Thank you so much.

8/25/13 Update

Hi Everyone,
i have not written in a while i am sorry about that. Everything is going good with me no other problems with my surgery. My mom is at Stanford getting radiation for her cancer. She has really good energy compared to Chemo. i started school last week i am a sophmore this year and can have off campus lunch. i am so excited. i am doing so well that in therapy that they have decreased me down to two times a month. I am glad about that because i have a lot of homework this year. I start seminary in the morning it is a great way to start your day. I have turned sixteen and can now bless the sacrement as a Priest. It is great. I am the only active Priest in our ward right now. Last of all, i would like to thank those who have prayed for me and my family, it is because of faith in God that we are doing so well.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart,
Chandler

Update 7/10/13

Hey guys,
Sorry I haven't been writing lately the summer has just gotten away from me. I just turned sixteen on the 26th of June. I went to Discovery Kingdom with my family. It was so fun! Those of you that have been keeping up on Caring Bridge know that my mom's cancer is back and she is going to resume chemo. The good news is that it is only about the size of a quarter. We are remaining positive.

As far as I am concerned I am doing great. I am recooping from my surgery on schedule. I have another appointment scheduled for July 25th. It is a gate analysis to see if the way i walk has improved. All is going good.

Thank You For Your Support,
Chandler

February 9, 2013 Update

Hey,
Hi guys i thought since i had some free time i could update this week was pretty bad only because i managed to get the swine flu. The doctor put me on antibiotics so i am feeling better. Since i was sick i missed a lot of school. That was a bummer because missing a week of school means playing catch up. So other than that though it has been all smiles around here my mom is staying positive and my Jaycee and dad are staying busy. In fact, Jaycee gets to go to a leadership conference next weekend.

On the fourteenth we are going down to Shriners to see the doctor. I am actually excited because when we go to checkups after my surgery they result in good news. This time my therapist says that they will tell me to get rid of knee immobilizers completely. I asked her if it was a possibility that they would say i could move into articulating braces but she said i would have to stay in these 90 degree braces for a year post-op. This may seem like a long time but really it isn't because i have already been in them for over six months. As always i feel your prayers everyday and am so grateful for them.

Thank You All,
Chandler

Fevruary 1, 2013 Update

Hi all,
Sorry that i have not updated you in a while i feel bad. If Elder Dryer or his parents are reading this post then here is your update:). It has been a great week. My parents are in Hawaii so i have spent time with my aunt and uncle. On the surgery side of things it is all going well. I have an appointment on Valentines Day with the doctors at Shriners. My therapist said that there is a really good chance that after that appointment i will not have to wear my knee immobilizers at night anymore so i am pretty excited about that! My aid Kevin has left so i am sad but we still keep in contact. I guess to look at that from a positive point of view I look at it as just another milestone. I will miss Big Chico Burger though. Two weeks ago my dad took me driving at a ranch for my first time. It was so fun! It looks as though i may be able to use foot controls instead of hand. My dad also said that i drove better than he thought i would. So that has been a look into the life of me!

Thank You For All Your Hugs, Prayers, and Support,

Chandler
