Hey Everyone!
It has been a crazy few months. I have had my surgery and the recovery is going well. Not much pain to speak of. The surgery was on Monday, October 10th and lasted for about four and a half hours. I checked out of the hospital on Wednesday, October 12th. I got off of the heavy pain medication by Friday, October 14th. I know that God has had a big hand in my speedy recovery. I am so grateful for the blessings that I have received throughout this trial in my life. I have been in the casts for two weeks now. I have been passing the time by watching LOTS of TV, playing games on my tablet, and watching General Conference talks. Next Tuesday, we go down to Shriners to be recasted. I am currently in green casts and I think I will get red casts next time.
My mom is doing well. She has a hip surgery scheduled for November 16th. She is so excited to be rid of the pain that her hip is causing her; I am happy for her. The only downside is that her surgery and my recovery overlap by a week. As a result, my dad and sister may be busy helping my mom and I.
Thank you for your continued prayers and support. It is truly felt. As I have gone through this trial I have begun to learn for myself that He is always listening.

July 23, 2016 Update
Hey Everyone!
Happy Early Pioneer Day! I will always remember that day because it was the day that I had my second surgery.
Some very exciting news to report tonight. My mom can now drive again. It has been at least a year and half since she was able to get behind the wheel. It is amazing to think of all of the blessings that we have received lately. To think that only a few months ago, she couldn't even move her leg at all. Now she can straighten it all the way. She is so excited to have her independence back and I am excited for her.
As far as news about me goes, we have scheduled a surgery to fix my toe and rebuild my arch for October 10th. It is certainly daunting, but I know that all will be well.
Thank you for all your thoughts, prayers and support; it means the world. The Lord truly does answer prayers.

Happy 4th of July!
Hi all,
Happy Fourth of July! I hope everyone is enjoying their day off; I know I am. Technically, I am at work right now, but it doesn't feel like work because I love what I do.
Can you believe that America turned 240 today? This is such a great nation. We are so blessed to live in a country in which we have the freedom to speak, act, and worship as we wish. As the song so truly proclaims, " I am proud to be an American".
On a personal note, my dad and I just got back from a week long trip to Disneyland and Magic Mountain. We rode rollercoasters all day long; it was so great! My favorite rides at Disneyland are Space Mountain and the Tower of Terror. My favorite rides at Magic Mountain are X2 and Twisted Colossus. The trip was a birthday and graduation gift. It was so much fun.
While we were on our trip, however, we received some bad news. My mom's CA-125 numbers have gone up to 96 which means that her cancer has spread. Despite this disparaging news, my mom's smile is as big as ever. She is such an example to me of how to persevere and endure to the end. I love her with all my heart.
Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers; they are surely felt. Again, have a great Fourth of July!

6/6/16 Update
Hey Guys
I have some very exciting new to share regarding my mom. Today, she got her CA-125 numbers back. For those that don't know, the CA-125 is a number that corresponds with the number of white blood cells in your body. The lower the number is, the better.
My mom has not had chemo treatment since October of last year. Eventually, unless the cancer does not come back, the number will start to go up. And so it is with my mom-at least that has been the story in the past. This time my mom's numbers have stayed the same as they were last month. This has never happened before; in fact, we were so surprised that we called back the doctor to double check...and they were right! Not only have my mom's numbers stayed the same, but she has more energy than she has had for years. What a blessing to know that everyone has been praying for our family. Thank you! It has been a blessing for me to see my mom so happy and doing some of the things that she used to do. Even as I write this post I am getting choked up. I know that the Lord is answering prayers. Again thank you all for thoughts, prayers, and well wishes.

6/2/16 Update
Hi Everyone,
Things are going well. I have graduated from high school and am enjoying my last summer at home. I have a lot going on this summer. My dad and I are going to a Giants game and we are also taking a week to go to two theme parks. After summer, I am going on a two year mission for my church-The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I don't know where I am going yet, but I will know in about November or December.
My mom is doing well, but her numbers are slowly going up and we are going on a month by month basis. Any one of these months, she may need to start some type of treatment.
I just received some news that I may need to have more surgery to fix some problems that were caused by the way I walk. I had originally planned to go on my mission in August; however, I need to have the procedure done before I can go. Thank you very much for all the thoughts and prayers.

3/26/2016 Update
Hi All,
It's been a while. A lot has happened. I got my wisdom teeth out last Thursday. I only had one. The funny thing is though, that while we were meeting with the oral surgeon, he told us that he has seen people with 5, 6, and even 12 wisdom teeth! My mom and I almost fell out of our chairs. Poor guy. Everything is going well after the operation. I am already almost at 100%. I am so blessed!
The ACT went well. I also have been accepted to college already.
As far as my mom goes. Her numbers are on the rise. Although, not enough to start chemo yet. We are hoping that a new type of therapy is approved for Ovarian Cancer. Despite all that she has gone through, and continues to endure, she is in good spirits. Thank you for the prayers on her behalf. They are felt.
My sister just had a birthday. She is 17 now, crazy!
My dad is doing good. He continues to grow his catering business. He is already all booked up for this year.
Thank you again for your thoughts and prayers.
