6/6/16 Update

Hey Guys

I have some very exciting new to share regarding my mom. Today, she got her CA-125 numbers back. For those that don't know, the CA-125 is a number that corresponds with the number of white blood cells in your body. The lower the number is, the better.

My mom has not had chemo treatment since October of last year. Eventually, unless the cancer does not come back, the number will start to go up. And so it is with my mom-at least that has been the story in the past. This time my mom's numbers have stayed the same as they were last month. This has never happened before; in fact, we were so surprised that we called back the doctor to double check...and they were right! Not only have my mom's numbers stayed the same, but she has more energy than she has had for years. What a blessing to know that everyone has been praying for our family. Thank you! It has been a blessing for me to see my mom so happy and doing some of the things that she used to do. Even as I write this post I am getting choked up. I know that the Lord is answering prayers. Again thank you all for thoughts, prayers, and well wishes.

6/2/16 Update

Hi Everyone,

Things are going well. I have graduated from high school and am enjoying my last summer at home. I have a lot going on this summer. My dad and I are going to a Giants game and we are also taking a week to go to two theme parks. After summer, I am going on a two year mission for my church-The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I don't know where I am going yet, but I will know in about November or December.

My mom is doing well, but her numbers are slowly going up and we are going on a month by month basis. Any one of these months, she may need to start some type of treatment.

I just received some news that I may need to have more surgery to fix some problems that were caused by the way I walk. I had originally planned to go on my mission in August; however, I need to have the procedure done before I can go. Thank you very much for all the thoughts and prayers.
