Hey Guys
I have some very exciting new to share regarding my mom. Today, she got her CA-125 numbers back. For those that don't know, the CA-125 is a number that corresponds with the number of white blood cells in your body. The lower the number is, the better.
My mom has not had chemo treatment since October of last year. Eventually, unless the cancer does not come back, the number will start to go up. And so it is with my mom-at least that has been the story in the past. This time my mom's numbers have stayed the same as they were last month. This has never happened before; in fact, we were so surprised that we called back the doctor to double check...and they were right! Not only have my mom's numbers stayed the same, but she has more energy than she has had for years. What a blessing to know that everyone has been praying for our family. Thank you! It has been a blessing for me to see my mom so happy and doing some of the things that she used to do. Even as I write this post I am getting choked up. I know that the Lord is answering prayers. Again thank you all for thoughts, prayers, and well wishes.

6/2/16 Update
Hi Everyone,
Things are going well. I have graduated from high school and am enjoying my last summer at home. I have a lot going on this summer. My dad and I are going to a Giants game and we are also taking a week to go to two theme parks. After summer, I am going on a two year mission for my church-The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I don't know where I am going yet, but I will know in about November or December.
My mom is doing well, but her numbers are slowly going up and we are going on a month by month basis. Any one of these months, she may need to start some type of treatment.
I just received some news that I may need to have more surgery to fix some problems that were caused by the way I walk. I had originally planned to go on my mission in August; however, I need to have the procedure done before I can go. Thank you very much for all the thoughts and prayers.

3/26/2016 Update
Hi All,
It's been a while. A lot has happened. I got my wisdom teeth out last Thursday. I only had one. The funny thing is though, that while we were meeting with the oral surgeon, he told us that he has seen people with 5, 6, and even 12 wisdom teeth! My mom and I almost fell out of our chairs. Poor guy. Everything is going well after the operation. I am already almost at 100%. I am so blessed!
The ACT went well. I also have been accepted to college already.
As far as my mom goes. Her numbers are on the rise. Although, not enough to start chemo yet. We are hoping that a new type of therapy is approved for Ovarian Cancer. Despite all that she has gone through, and continues to endure, she is in good spirits. Thank you for the prayers on her behalf. They are felt.
My sister just had a birthday. She is 17 now, crazy!
My dad is doing good. He continues to grow his catering business. He is already all booked up for this year.
Thank you again for your thoughts and prayers.

10/24/15 Update
Hi Everyone
It has been a while. A lot has happened since I last posted.
Everything is going well. I have been told that I only have to wear my braces when I want to. For me, that is a dream come true. I had never thought that to be possible. I am so grateful to the Lord for this blessing.
School has also been going well, but it has been stressful. I have to register and study for the ACT. I also have to fill out applications for college. I am excited and nervous at the same time.
My mom is doing well. She got some exciting news. We got her blood work results back and it went down by about 200!
Thanks for all your prayers!

March 6, 2015 Update
Hey Folks,
It has been a while. I am doing well. However, just a few weeks ago we found out that my mom's cancer is back. She has not started treatment yet. Right now she is on a waiting list for clinical trials. She is doing well and very positive.
Baseball season is right around the corner. I am excited to cheer on the team I've grown to love.
Thanks so much for your continuous prayers and support. We can definitely feel it.

1/13/15 Update
Hey Guys
Happy New Year! A lot of things that have happened since my last post. All is going well.
In September of last year, I got my Eagle Scout. I am grateful that I have reached this rank. However, I would not have gotten to where I am without the support of friends and family. My parents helped me so much to organize and make my project a success. For my project I built benches for a middle school in my area. I am also indebted to the staff of that school because they helped me through some of the most crucial times in my life.
It is crazy to think that a few years ago, I wasn't able to do anything because of the surgery that I had. My closing for this post, I hope are words of wisdom. This experience had led me to believe that no matter what your circumstances or what challenges lie in your way, You can accomplish anything that you set your mind to.
Thank you for your prayers and support.
Until The Next Post,
Chandler

10/30/14 Update
Hi Guys,
Sorry that I have not been keeping up like I should. People who know me, know that I am one of the biggest Giants fans on the face of the planet. So, as you can imagine, I have been REALLY busy. I am happy to report that all of the cheering and the tension were worth it.
I am also glad to write that all is going well with me and my family. I have pretty much leveled out on my progression since the surgery. There is always a possibility that with some more hard work I can grow stronger and better. I am sure you are also wondering how my mom is doing. The answer, she is doing great. Her numbers have gone down and she does not have any more chemo treatments for the time being. This is a blessing. We are just taking life day by day and not trying to remind ourselves that life is precious. Happy Halloween to all!
Thanks for all the love, prayers, and support on our behalf,
Chandler
